Ed Hurley and Jerry Brown to Moderate Panels at 2009 NCRA Conference

Chico & Nunes, P.C. attorneys Ed Hurley and Jerry Brown will moderate panels at the 32nd Annual National Conference of Regulatory Attorneys (NCRA), sponsored by the National Association of Regulatory Utilities Commissioners [NARUC] Subcommittee on Law. The conference will take place from May 31 - June 3, 2009, in Las Vegas, NV. The conference is intended to provide topical educational opportunities for regulatory attorneys to prepare them to assist their regulatory agencies in carrying out the legal responsibilities of the agencies.

Ed Hurley will moderate Session XIII: Renewables and Efficiencies: Cost and Benefits.
-Just how viable are renewables given the decline in demand for energy and the uncertainty of governmental subsidies? Exploring the environmental, as well as the financial, impacts of bringing wind and solar power online. What are the current policies and economics on climate change and clean coal technologies? We also look to California's experience with the Cap and Trade model.
