Jonah Siegellak has worked as the Director of Business Development since joining Chico & Nunes in January, 2006. In this capacity, Mr. Siegellak provides business development strategy, practice group development, communications, website content development and event planning to the firm. Mr. Siegellak oversees a variety of marketing and other projects for the firm, including working directly with clients in the firm's Business Counseling practice. For many of the firm's clients, Mr. Siegellak is the point of contact. He provides advocacy for clients and makes introductions to their prospective targets.
Prior to working for Chico & Nunes, P.C., Mr. Siegellak served as President of Siegellak Consulting, Ltd., a business and fundraising consulting firm that he founded following working on several congressional and local campaigns around the country. From 2003 to 2004, Mr. Siegellak served as Deputy Finance Director for Gery Chico's U.S. Senate Campaign in Illinois. In 2002, Mr. Siegellak served as a congressional staff member for the Democratic Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives, Richard A. Gephardt, in Washington D.C. In 2001 and 2002, Mr. Siegellak served as a congressional staff member to Congressman Dennis Moore in Washington, D.C.
In July, 2008 Mr. Siegellak was appointed by Mayor Richard M. Daley to the Next Generation Leaders Advisory Council (NGLAC). The Chicago 2016 Olympic bid committee launched the NGLAC to broaden and enhance the bid's governance and capabilities. The Chicago 2016 Olympic bid was not successful but Mr. Siegellak was recognized for his fundraising and leadership efforts following the bid. Mr. Siegellak is a member of the Midwest Region Board of Directors for the American Committee for Shaare Zedek. Shaare Zedek is a thriving public non-profit Medical Center in Jerusalem with 40,000 admissions, 125,000 outpatient visits and 60,000 Emergency visits annually. Mr. Siegellak is a member of the Associate Board of Directors for Scholarship Chicago, a not-for-profit organization which creates opportunities for economically disadvantaged Chicago-area high school students to attend college. Mr. Siegellak also serves as a mentor for the same organization.
