Sandy L. Morris, a Senior Attorney, concentrates her practice in complex business litigation and employment law.
Ms. Morris represents individual and corporate clients in a wide variety of business litigation, including commercial, business tort, product liability and insurance coverage matters.
Ms. Morris has also successfully represented employers in litigation matters relating to all aspects of federal, state and local discrimination and harassment laws at the trial court and appellate court levels. She represents clients in administrative proceedings before the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state human rights and equal employment opportunity agencies. Ms. Morris also counsels employers regarding employee handbooks, policies, and risk management and offers customized training to clients on a variety of topics, including compliance with Title VII, the ADA, and FMLA.
Each year since 2009, a survey of her peers has named Ms. Morris to the list of Illinois Super Lawyers-Rising Stars. The Rising Stars list represents the top 2.5 percent of lawyers under 40 years old in Illinois.
Ms. Morris graduated from Syracuse University (B.A., cum laude, 1995), and the University of Chicago Law School (J.D., 1999). While in law school, Ms. Morris volunteered with the school's Mandel Legal Aid Clinic and served on its Board.
Ms. Morris is an adjunct professor of legal writing at the DePaul University College of Law. She is a Board Member of Chicago Volunteer Legal Services and a member of the Chicago Bar Association Alliance for Women Executive Committee. In her free time, Ms. Morris volunteers at Open Books, a literacy organization.
