Chico & Nunes, P.C. is seeking an energetic and resourceful star player to join our team to provide effective administrative and legal support to multiple attorneys. Our ideal candidate will be flexible and a self-starter, with excellent communication and organizational skills. The ability to juggle and prioritize multiple time-sensitive projects while maintaining calm and positive energy is essential to success in this position.

This position will work closely with our attorneys to coordinate meetings, proofread and edit documents, prepare time entries, handle drafting and filing of court documents, and provide case management and other support to attorneys as needed. Reliable and consistent attendance in the office is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, edit, format, and proofread correspondence and legal documents (including pleadings and contracts), accurately and within requested timeframes for assigned attorneys.
  • Research regulations, laws, legal articles, and online sources to assist with the preparation of reports and case files, and to support attorney needs.
  • Organize exhibits, briefs, appendices, and other legal documents for attorney review.
  • Create, manage, and maintain paper and electronic client files in compliance with firm policies.
  • Provide general administrative assistance, including managing and routing incoming calls, coordinating attorney calendars, scheduling of appointments, conference calls, depositions, and various other meetings, and making travel arrangements.
  • Prepare and enter daily time entries for assigned attorneys into firm billing system.
  • Prepare and process check requests, reimbursement requests, credit card and travel expense reports, and other financial documents as required.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and work cooperatively with other departments and individuals in the Firm.
  • Assist in overflow and perform other duties as assigned.
