Michael Zalewski joined the Chico & Nunes, P.C. team in July of 2007. He concentrates his practice primarily in the area of zoning and municipal land use.
Previously, Michael had served as an assistant state's attorney in Cook County, where he presecuted misdemeanor and traffic-related offenses for two and a half years, trying over two hundred bench and jury trials as a first-chair attorney. Michael also served in the governor's administration for one year after graduation from law school.
Representative Transactions:
- Worked as a government attorney from 2003-2007 in both litigation and management capacities.
- Tried over 200 criminal cases in the largest court system in the United States.
- In just four years, litigated six jury trials to verdict.
- Currently resolving a number of land transactions for schools, developers, and commercial entities in both the City of Chicago and surrounding suburbs.
- Advocated on behalf of a local business to expand their certification as a Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE).
- Assisted a client in filing a Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE) application with the City of Chicago.
